Frankie, some guys here use the same oil for after-run and airfilter.. I don't think it caused trouble with your motor.

Kodack there shouldnt be a problem with the oil.
and for info sake i am using a earosol performance airfilter oil for 1/1 cars.
Its by Kingdragon and similar to the K&N stuff. As for after run Mobil1/Castrol RS/Petronas Syntium 0w20/30 is perfect and hasnt given me any hassles at all.In fact my engines are cleaner than ever compared to afterrun oil and ATF.

coolness,
today i had well some lonely practise at my local track, had to meet a friend later in the arfternoon, thou it was good to try spring settings on the car!

tried a variety of sets:

TM spring set keep in mind...... from Raceday Hobbies "PLUG"
K-factory 38 SHORE ALL ROUND 19 degrees day very cool green track
1st runs: PINK front
MAROON Rear

Results: with setup - not too bad, good steering in taily out

2nd runs: Blue FRONT
PURPLE Rear

great fast turn in and more stable on high speed straight, come out of turns very loose if on gas too quick...!

I recon a 30K diff oil will get more rear drive ????? not sure shall try

Overal i was driving it hard - changed to MAX droop on front and REAR and ride heights around 7mm to 5mm differances on differant tanks

but yeah was driving it a lot hard for sure today pushin the edge on me solo own...!

Tip and NEWS for us Locals they have taken out a part of the MID sector of the track so no more PRO launch in the AIR - makes for more room to improve lap times...

i look forward to the next meet.......

Red face CLUTCH PROBLEMS - PLEASE HHHEEELLLPPP!!!!!

I am experiencing a very wierd problem! I keep on loosing clutch!

My spacing is .4mm with .01 endplay, Use TM black Shoe, 1.8mm black spring.

I have tried 1 and two weights.

last time I have removed brake arm to ensure it is not the brakes binding!

ED drive train, with standard pinions and 52 first and standard 2nd spur.

I have checked the bell has no sharp edges that can eat the shoe away!

6-7 tanks and the clutch shoe is warn down to the stage it does not engage any more!

PLEASE HELP!

if your clutch shoe is wearing fast, then try backing the spring off. you may have too much slippage before it fully engages. what is your spring tension ?
and when you rclutch shoe wears like this, it also changes the clutch gap. so redo your 0.4 clutch gap and try again with the spring tension backed off. hope this helps..

Mega DSII plugs will/should work as they are also Picco based.

.Last shoe the spring was 0.2 mm and the spacing redone from scratch before running!
