so are they way better?

also whats the word on the shock ball cups?
I had some teeth missing from the side belt (4 in a row) and didn't have a spare TM one, but found in my old Kyosho spares the original V-one R belts which happen to be the same sizes (but a little wider and not low friction), so that's another option is you get stuck.

BK,

I bought most of my TM stuff from Raceday Hobbies and they have provided excelent service. Raceday's website is clunky at best but you can reach them @ 480-567-2560.

Raceday Hobbies is a 1st class operation. Sure his website wont win any awards. That's because his to busy filling orders to spend any time hitech'n his website. I know the owner Sam personally. He lives in the same Phoenix metro area as me. He has help me tremendously with learning my way around the track. Great guy.

Default Shock Ball Cups

For a temporary fix on the shock ball cups, use the steering link ball cup links. Just cut them down to size and they will work just fine.

My G4S and WASP CRF combination combined yesterday to reset the 5 min qualifying record. Unfortunately I was beaten in the 10min final by 1 second but the more I play with this car the more I work out how much faster than me it is.

Cheers,

Mike.

Mugen super hard spring.
Clutch nut showing 1 thread.
1 weight in the right hand side of each flyweight.
I then started off with .6 gap but I played with the gap to get the right feel. The engine is still no terror off the turns so don't expect too much.

I ran 18/23 and 52/47 gears.

Cheers,

Mike.

Hi all,
I'm newbie with g4(newbie riding nitro also), i ride the rtr version named Le Mans. I'm really happy with the car.

I got one question. When we talk about the engine having to be at around 220 farhenheit(104 celcius) thats at idle right? Is it normal for the temp to go up to 360Farhenheit(180 celcius)after riding for a while at high trottle?
The engine is the stock sh .15.

Also I will enter my first race with nitro next week. Anyone care to suggest what kind of setting i could use for this track?http://www.rcpikeriver.com./english/Notre%20piste.htm I did download some sample setup sheets from the team magic website as referance but i dont know what the tracks look like so it doesnt really help.
I bought the k factory one piece 32t front solid axle set.Would it be a good idea to install it for this race?

One more thing. I heard the manual for the g4s has a lot of information about setting up the car. The manual that came with the rtr version is completely useless! I emailed team magic about getting the g4s manual but they never replied. If anyone happened to have a pdf version of it ...that would make me a happy men.

Anyway thanks all for your help.

360 degrees is far too high. When people talk about motor temps of 220 to 250 they are talking about after the motor comes back from a qualifying run or a race. You should be able to see the temps drop a little while idling. Set your high speed needle back to where the manual says and try again to prevent damage to the motor. Maybe talk to your hobby shop where you got the car from and get some basic advice.

As for setup, I'd worry about learning the car as it comes in box stock form before changing the setup too much.

Good luck.

Cheers,

Mike.

Ok thanks fo the info. I mail ordered and since i dont speak cantonese...The hobby shop here dont want to help you unless you buy the car with them. The manual has no info about the engine.

I played with the higher needle. I'm just at the treshold of the engine dying by itself. Would the lower needle have any effect? I notice glow plugs have number would getting a lower number glow plug change anything?

I guess i'll postpone the race if i dont wanna blow the engine.
