In your opinion, how much speed and torque should the servo be for the throttle and brake? Mine is lacking (S3004) and wanted to upgrade for this upcomming season. I could get a digital servo S9451 for the steering and put my current S9303 steering servo for the throttle. What's your thoughts?

The S9451 is an excellent choice for steering. It's a good idea to use your current S9303 steering servo to throttle / brake duty.

I'll have to see for this upcoming season if I can get my hands on another S9451. I have one in my Xray and I love it. Will the S9303 be adequate for throttle/brake duty? [email protected] sec. (I think this is @ 4 volts, it might be higher @ 6v)

If I was you, I would use S9450 for steering and S9402 for throttle / brake.

Ok, here's whats going on in the servo department. I just bought an S9550 from randman.
Now do I use the S9550 in steering for the 705 (lower CG since the servo case is smaller and wont stick so high off the upper deck)and S9303 in the throttle/brake or do I take the S9451 out of my xray and put it into the 705 with the S9303 throttle brake, and put the new S9550 in the xray?
Will the S9550 be powerful enough for the 705? Speeds are great, but torque is around 90. S9451 is a lot stronger in the torque catagory and the same speed.
Inquiring minds want to know... This is the perfect time to wrench on cars, we just got 5" of snow! Grrr, and tomorrow is the first day of spring!

Hi, I bought a solid rear axle for the Impluse to use in my 705. The problem is that the solid axle is quite a bit wider then the ball diff. I went back the my LHS and got the Impulse spring steel dog bones to use with the solid rear. Is this the correct way to do it? I couldn't find a solid rear axle specifically for the 705.

If you are currently using the low gear ratio (17T/22T/47T) on the 705, then you need not change the 47T pulley. If you use the normal stock internal ratio (18T/23T/46T), you need to get the 46T solid axle pulley (808371) separately.
If you want to get the lightened version fo the Impact solid axle, you could get the 808372 but note that it does not come with any pulley. All of them will fit the 705 with the stock dogbones.

What rear solid axle will do on the 705....I know it works great on Impact.... no idea what will do for 705 or Impulse.....explain please.....
How rear solid axle works on the 705....what effect I will get?

Usually, on a large sweeping track, the fastest combo would be a solid rear and a front oneway.
