LHS only carry main brands, 1/8 engines are expensive with high maintenance fees, track is fewer and fewer.

many people are scared away by these factors.
That is because most people can not think clearly. There are much affordable engines to be used but no, people always want to have the most expensive thinking they can get the fastest laptimes.

A nice example:
http://www.redrc.net/2012/01/novaros...rt-volksmotor/
Can be bought for just arround 170 euro....
Also the RB Classico is a nice cheap screamer.
Also run a fuel with a bit more oil and you will notice it in the lifespan.

And beside that, if you agree to uses a some kind of stockmotor you even can use a cheap Force engine or a 120 dollar Picco Stock.....

Roelof is right, the RB Classico (aka Speed) is a fantastic engine for the money and in terms of lap times isn't so far off the top RB CXR engines! I hardly ever manage to string together enough perfect laps to really say I'm using all the power available to me perfectly and I think most would admit the same.

You don't need a £500 engine at all, but if you can afford one no harm in owning one but it may not make you go any faster, I fact if you can't handle it the opposite will happen.

Just to give everyone an update, we should be seeing the first kits in the US by the end of next week. Please PM me if you have any questions you don't want to post here.

Just about $450 for this kit from hobby-square with the 20% coupon is a competitive price.

They had a grand opening sale but the code doesnt work anymore. I jumped on quite a few things.. was 20% off and free shipping and no tax. email or message them on FB, maybe they'll still honor it? worth a shot.

Any feedback from the track how the cars are running, they look pretty neat. Is the alu steering ackerman standard?

wmay - yes the aluminum Ackerman arm is standard on the kit, there are optional carbon fiber ones as well.

Not sure about other features but I like the body supporting nuts on the bumper. Not sure about the nuts on upper arms though. Would be great to see this soon.

the front bulk heads are not spilt to make for easy belt replacement, was there a reason for this?

The information passed on to me from ARC was that they tested a version that was split, but decided to use the production version because it is more simple and stronger. Yes, there are a few more screws, but its still relatively quick and simple to do. Ultimately this was a more simple and stronger design.

Please let me know if you have any other questions, if I don't have the answers directly I will get them from ARC for you.
