Some guys advised me to change to MTX2's dogbones are they are slighty longer.. will it help?

Manti.. loved your hop ups.. where did you got them?

Ok, that's good to hear.. I have a Hudy set so putting the car together was no problem.

vinyard the front dogbones on my car came out you can fix this a couple of ways

you could put orings into the outdrives

you could get mtx-2 bones because they are longer

or get the universals

I've had the pleaseure of going through all of these solutions and end result decided that CV's are going to be the best solution. I've found the steering uprights very flexible and at full lock under power the doggies can actually snatch and come out. I don't like the price tag on the CV's but i can't see any viable alterative.

After paying a visit to my LHS today, I heard about the "first 200 MTX3 kits" surprise..

When I got home, sure enough, my kit (which I got from SpeedTech the first week) came with the turbo engine RS-12TS..

Does anyone have specs for this engine including the number of ports? (I haven't bothered taking the engine apart to find out). Oh, and which RB plug is good for this engine running 30% nitro?

Got a MTX3.... questions, questions, questions....

Hi all:

Santa put an MTX3 on my 'stable' some days ago and starting to assemble (mid assembled nowadays) I have read the manuals and have some questions.

When assembling the rear end, had three choices of A-arms to install (High, Med, Low) what are the purpose of them? (Adjusting the roll center????). Installed the Medium ones.

On the servo saver I have three choices (of ackermann I suppose). Installed the B as manual stated but none words about those two parts and how to choose.

About the rear gear diff. Put the 10000 silicone, my track is plenty of grip (normally we use 42/42 or 45/42) nowadays with damp weather we use 40/40 or 40/37 it's OK for high traction or is wise to install a solid axle at rear.

About gear ratios. Seemed a 'little short'. My track is very ample and flowing with a >200Ft backstraight... my engines are a Sirio ROAR and one RB 'Rody 3 port' (1700-215) - with this engine 21/27 on 54/48 on my NTC3 is fine. Some people suggested me to use larger pinions from Yokomo, it's true? Mugen ends at 20 for the second gear.

Manticore: Saw your MTX3 photos some pages ago and seemed weird to change the steel screws on the lower chassis for some titanium ones. On my opinion is the best place to have some weight. Can shed some light on this?

alters the ackerman , i think the more akerman the more intitial turn in , but someone that knows please correct me.

Mugen do make bigger gears think i have a 22 somewhere, but take into account the overall ratio!

sorry but i asked what handling changes will be noticed. your link only tell me what ackeramn is NOT what it does!

Ackermann And Steering Throw Symmetry
Ackermann is a term describing the effect of the inside front wheel turning tighter than the outside front wheel. We have designed the T1's steering system with the optimal Ackermann setting for a touring car, so you do not need to waste time adjusting it. But it is important that turning radii
are the same when the car is turning either left or right.

Put the car on a Hudy Set-up to make sure that the steering turns as sharply to the left as it does to the right. If it is not the case and if your radio has EPA (End Point Adjustment) settings, adjust the EPA on your transmitter in order to achieve symmetry The wheels should turn equally in both directions for balanced handling.

When adjusting the servo, the steering must be adjusted in the way so the steering block does not hit the pivot balls. If it does decrease steering throw with your radio's EPA setting or with the dual-rate setting, if EPA is not available.
