I have run these rims all summer, seen 2 or 3 bent a little .I have never seen one broken. Even the 1/8 scale guys have not broken any as far as I know.

I am runing the RD Logics chassie, universals, Kawahara sway bar in the rear, Kawahara rear shock mount,Clamp on wheel hexes, 3 Racing shock towers, 3 Racing 3rd. body post in the front. At the nats I ran 58mm tires and had to add 40 grams of weight to get the car to legal, I qualified 7th. in the Masters A Main, but didnt get to run the main because of a throttle servo failer.

is the brand name a thing to consider with these hopups?

not really we run in a parking lot, its the same place all the time though, its asphault, and we use real boards, wood all the way around so it will cost me less money in broken rims and uprights if i can get the best hop ups that alow me a better setup.
the last race i was doing real good but i am going on my own setup and i am playing it by ear, the sway bars are a total mystery to me? i need a setup board also, but i do ok
