Centax Clutch Assembly
4)Put a drop of high temp oil (Racer's Choice - Hy-spin #7015) on each actuator and where it will ride on the flywheel. If the clutch uses a return spring on the actuators, use it. The clutch will disengage faster if this spring is in place. (PD note: this oil tip works).
5)Smear a coat of high temp oil on the rear of the pressure plate and slide it on next followed by the shoe with the spring cup already pressed in firmly. Spin on the adjustment nut until 1-2 threads are showing on the end of the flywheel nut. Manti: This is an extract of an article posted in the V-1-R tread earlier. Can i replace 'High Temp Oil' mentioned as above with 'High Temp Grease'? Its sinthetic based and is Red in color. I found this from a friend who runs a workshop. BTW, what is 'Actuator' mentioned in the above? cheers... |

I end up only lubricated it when I remember it :D :D. However, but for serious racer, I suggest you to lub it more frequent but proper installation of the clutch will actually make the trust bearing lives longer. |
hi i am just wondering has anyone tried rear springs on the front of an mtx-2 or mtx-3 if they are the same colour do they work out the same stiffness ? as on both cars to get the ride height correct, at times there is no tension on the spring at all any thoughts would be appreciated, also when securing the lock nut on the piston in the shocks is it advisable not to tighten the nut fully and allow the piston to rotate or do most people lock the nut fully locking the piston in one place :(
