Mugen makes a gear removing tool for about $30. Have one but not had a reason to use it yet.

I'm not sure as how you would remove these gears with loctite on them. I never loctite these gears as they get quite tight all by themselves due to the way the gears rotate.

btw...you wouldn't be a Riddle student by any chance?

Sorry no Riddle student. Just a regular Joe. Guess I wont be using loctite on the bells anymore.

That's cool, starting to miss the nice "winter" season down there :D

I guess not (using loctite on spurs), may be easier to buy another clutch bell and replacement pinions. And keep that one in your pit box when you want to use that combination of spurs.

I am going to use Futaba servos for my Prospec but during the building of the servo saver do I use A, B, or C?

alucard13 07-19-2004 06:06 PM

Then A I shall try :)

Thanx Pete.

I know its kinda crude but to get the pinions off I use a rag with some channelocks to hold the bell part(dont squeeze too hard) or you could put an allen wrench through the adjustment hole and then use a pair of wire cutters and engage it in between the teeth and turn the pinion. wow that was 1 hell of a run on sentence huh!

Mike, I'm using the B over in Royal Palm. Gives me plenty of steering.

Don't get them, they are not made of very good quality. :)

gentleman81 07-19-2004 08:55 PM

OEM Mugen quality is MILES ahead of GPM's, and that is an understatement.

o yea, and the pillow balls tend to not stay in the alloy arms unless there is a lock :)

A= twichy/aggrasive
b= little smoother/less aggrasive
c= smooth

Hope that helps.
