I just tried swaping front to rear and it's better.
I'm going to buy another set of fronts and that should do the trick.

Rough rear Diff
I was helping a friend build his MTX3 for the first time and I've
found his rear diff to be real notchy. You can feel the gears turning very much. I've taken it apart and put more oil, less oil, no oil, just to see if it gets smooth and nothing works. Once you put the four screws in (tried tight and loose too) it starts, has anyone had any experience with this? What should I do? Any suggestions?? I'm stumped

but be sure you build the diff with proper spacers and according to the manual. be sure you have the gasket too.
Thanks Manticore, That's what I thought, but my only other experience was with mine, and I didn't have that feeling.
