Hello, would anyone please tell me what those O-Ring for?http://www.mugenracing.com/whatsnew/...alsmtx-3sm.jpg

modellor 12-07-2002 07:02 AM

They go into the diff/axle outdrive before the driveshaft to reduce the amount of wear caused by the sideways movement uncer suspension travel.

Thank you modellor, do you know if it's applicable to both Front and Rear or either of them?

modellor 12-07-2002 07:14 AM

It should be applicable to both the front and rear.

Thanks again. I just couldn't stop wondering why it only shows 2 O-Rings, not 4.

sorry but they cant alter the movment as the outer end is fixed, more likly to stop the drive in the 2 speed moving out

modellor 12-07-2002 07:51 AM

Hey Cartman.

I didnt mean they alter the movement but if you watch the driveshaft while pushing down on the car they close in towards the diff due to the suspension geometry. These little rubber washers go into the outdrive to stop the driveshafts rubbing to much at the maximum point of suspension down travel to reduce the overall amount of wear on the driveshaft ball end.

Thats what I meant.

the pair of CVD with the o-ring at its side is for front while the other pair is for rear.

The o-rings go to the one-way outdrive to maximize the one-way roller coverage on the outdrive shaft.

LeoChan 12-07-2002 12:57 PM

with O ring is for one way cup use

Can someone do me a huge favour!!!!!!!!

What sizes are ALL the different allen screws on the MTX-3?
1.5mm-2.0mm-2.5mm-3.0mm

Just ordering the car along with some Hudy Drivers (don't want to order sizes not necessary as they are bloody expensive!)

Michael_T 12-07-2002 10:40 PM

Another question please....

What is the standard kit gears the MTX-3 comes with (1st/2nd Pinion and Spur sizes??)
