Im sure they will be a wider range of gearing options with the new car.

The car tested by Robbie Collins was box stock.

was wondering about that myself. I know the issues really came out at the Roar nats but I wonder if mugen went back and made any changes before their final release.

What gearing issues?

We are talking about two races at the same track in Ohio, which is totally out of the norm, sizewise.

On any other track I've seen in my 20 years of racing, the MTX2 is doing just fine.

Dang that mtx2 sure is long in the tooth;)

The problem is that one track in ohio is the best track in the country so it might be in mugens interest to make sure it can run with all the cars on ANY track. If I'm considering putting a track up I'm wanting it to be more like joyce than not so whose to say there won't be more. How big is KZ anyway? Aren't they going to be in the hunt for nationals?

News flash,

Mugen does not design cars for the US, but for the global market.

Stefan do you work for mugen? You speak almost as if mugen has made a conscious decision not to make gears for big tracks, which I doubt.

Even so, I've seen quite a few pictures of some awesome looking european tracks, they looked pretty big and flowing to me...like joyce. I'm looking forward to trying the car and I'm sure if Mugen really is taking the stance they don't want to make alternate gears for it that some aftermarket vendor will.

stefan 11-05-2002 09:08 AM

I'm NOT

working for Mugen, all I'm saying is that Mugen won't reconsider their design because of one track in one country.

Mugen's are winning on the big tracks in Europe, so the gearing can't be that far off.

I'm sure they'll offer a few more gearing choices, although 99% of the racers will never need them.

Mugen's winning in Europe? Where? 1/8 or 1/10 TC scale?

I know that with 1/8 scale, the MRX3 rules but with the 1/10 TC, I don't see them anywhere...
