It is possible that your outdrive and dog bone pin has worn out.

I'd like to bolt in some big horse power. What engine do you recommend?

worn out outdrive causes dogbone blinding at the worn out area. either front or rear or both will cause this problem.

it's usually caused by the springs at the rear being too hard, or maybe (but probably not) too much rear toe in.

raffaelli - just get one of those totally outlawed 5 ports like a Rody, MSPeed, JP BLack, L Collari or Masimo Fantini. After that have fun trying to drive it and repairing it, hehehe ...

alvinm - hopped as in jumpoing? The must be your rear shocks ... just not enough damping or springs too hard ... what springs you using and also when was the last time you build the shocks?

Hey guys,

I just finished cleaning my car. I've noticed a lot of play in the rear dog bones. I mean...it goes in and out of the drive cups. I double check the instruction - didn't see any washers or rubber stoppers that I needed to install. Is this normal? It just looks very inefficient...I would imagine some power is lost because of this?

Use one piece of shock o-ring on the diff outdrive side to minimize play.
