Hi, I was wondering if you can give me some input. I'm looking at the MTX3 for the upcoming season and wondering how it compares to the ntc3 and r40 on high speed, high bite tracks? Here's a couple other questions:
1. Has anyone had issues with the belts? 2. if yes to #1 then how hard is it to change them? 3. Are there any durability issues? 4. Is it easy to work on? |

I'm fully aware of biased comments. But with all the touring cars being so close it's hard to decide. So please just humor me if nothing else. And don't get me wrong, I've been doing my research and I'm far from a newbie.

I did strip one front belt and some others have this problem too. It is due to the front belt is a bit loose on the pulleys and when your front tire diameter is big enough to change your car to more on front wheel drive. i.e. more power/stress to front belt. you may use mrx3 front belt for replacement as it has wider belt size which will make it lesser chance stripping. the mugen belts are the best out there and it has lesser friction compare to kyosho. 2/. It is hard to replace the front belt as you need to remove top deck, and front end for belt replement. 3/. the car is strong but there are a few who (including me) have problem on the front knuckles. 4/. yes, the car is very easy to work on and it handles great right out of the box. |
