Anyone here run a Wasp .12 in their MTX3? If so, with what pipe? How does it run? If you've run other engines in the MTX3, how does it compare? I know the MR12 is an awesome engine, but it's nice to be different sometimes. Plus, the look of the crinkle finish on the silver head is just plain freakin awesome, in my opinion.

Hi Manticore! Still hate me?

Damn,i thought it was you, you're more then welcome to post in the mtx3 forum seeing as the ntc3 forum seems rather slow!

I live most of the time on Earth but have been known to travel to other planets when tuning my engines.

Ya know Evo....thats damm nice of you to say that.......And let me tell you,I have nothing against Mugen cars....The only reason I drive the tc3's,is I don't have alot of down time..and these cars are easier to manitain......,MY LHS doen't support Mugen(hes a big time Serpent dealer),and parts are hard to come by in NJ...

The only reason I'm trying the HPI,is its supposed to be an easier belt car to maintain...And I've had HPI cars since 97..I still own 18 of them...I was on their forums for so long busting their chops, and they've always been good to me,I feel like I should give the car a chance...

Also,I struggled with the HPI racer2's for so long,I've learned not to waste time....If a car works for me,I keep it..if not,on EBAY...that includes the tc3's if the HPI runs better, and both cars if the G4 runs better..(for me)......

I drove a MTX2 last year..it was a great driving car...but like i said,no one has them around here..and since I work next door to my LHS,I like to be able to run what he supports(though he hates the tc3)..

The only thing I was doing was having fun with you guys.....esp FREAKAH..he rises to the bait every time...

but with your gracious hospitality,I'm ending that too.....

You guys are OK.....I can't knock the brand loyalty you've shown each other...

sorry... sorry... sorry... I've just got out of siesta plus read it too very quickly.

ZAC is bigger, wider but shorter.
Carlsen is slimmer, narrower, but longer.

Which one is best? Your engine will decide...

Default Manticore,

remember when we talked about the Fantom steel pipe, you wanted a report.

I tried mine a few weeks ago on a Murnan modified X12.
Before I ran the RD Logics .15 one piece pipe.

1. I could barely hear my car anymore, the stinger really is tiny

2. My car was SLOW and totally rich. I had to lean it out almost a full turn on top to get it running.

3. The pipe makes good torque but was VERY restrictive on top.

4. I took it off

5. At home I found out that the inner cone had come loose

6. I sent the pipe back to Fantom for replacement

7. I will do this again I guess

BTW, you guys need to try that .15 pipe from RD Logics if your track let's you run outlaw pipes.
That thing make awesome power and sounds like an 8th scale
