Yeah, well I must have done something to piss them off. All my cars are falling apart lately.

Manti, that's a great tip for the improvisation.

How about new setups, or other tips to improve the car?
Manti, you even forgot to flame me for using my GPM knuckles on Sunday, what's up with that? Are you slacking?

fortunately I had the snap ring pliers availible to me from the race shop. I just ''borrowed'' an old broken set. Although it would have been tossed out at the shop, I can still use it!

I remember seeing a guy once when i first started racing trying to get a clip on and off with 2 small phillips screwdrivers and what happened next wasn't pretty.
Roger,
I can't remember how much they were,i bought them years ago in a set of 5.The awesome feature with these pliers is that they can be used for both type of clips, the ones that need to be compressed and the other type which needs to be spread. All snap on tools also come with life time waranty and that's why most of my tool box that i use on 1:1 cars is filled with them, probably close to 20K worth over the years.

tires choice
what hardness foam tires are people using when they have the 16/19T conversion?
i am thinking of buying softer rear (37) and harder front (40)
but i heard that when using the conversion, the rear tire's diameter has to be 3 mm bigger than the front
so can this tire combination work? because if the rear is softer, would it wear faster and can no longer be used due to the 16/19T conversion?
thanks for any insights

you have to test the set up and find a best compromise for your tyre wear if you opt to use the softer which wear out faster than the front. Else, if the front and rear tyre wear are the same in diameter towards the end of the race, your car would be twitchy to drive and putting lot of stress on the front belt..

Thanks Uriah.
My snap ring pliers look almost exactly like those, except for cheaper looking grip material.
I use 37s rears, and cut the fronts 2-3 mm smaller than the rears out of the box. They generally come off the track at the end of a 30 min main the same size as the (42)fronts.
I race at the track with some fast company...Grinder, Stefan, and another guy Nick... and I think we all run different shore tires. I know Nick has been running 37/37's.... and you other 2?
