I understand both Active and ZAC use the same Japanese rubber.

We've found that tyre wear is about 30% better than GRP rubber and would expect the ZAC's to be similar.
The shore ratings seem to work a bit differently and we usually run the same shore front and rear, say 40 / 40 on a track with decent traction. Wear from F/R is quite consistant, using a one-way and rear diff. This is on a V-One-R.
Hope this is of some help.
Loved the ZAC foams on my V-One R, but not the rim construction. I haven't used them in a while, so they may be better now, but not sure.

Default diff screws

hey guys.. I've been trying to find the 2.6x6 flat head screws for the front diff... that's all i need to complete the setup. I have some 2.6x8 phillips head screw (not flat). would they work? can i use a 3mm instead? what's your input?

TIA

will the yellow ones cure it??? and why?
I put in the yellw Teflon pads while I was building the kit. The stock pads were too "grabby" in my MTX-2 so I learned from that.

The track I run on requires a lot of braking so the yellow pads smooth and progressive action help prevent brake spinouts.

i have recently installed the mugen one piece disk part no-HO369 as well as the yellow pads and the brake is smooth and does not grab and the brake drag problem is not there i would say a must have item if you want useable brakes

i have the enneti disk (thanks to corse-r) and i have seen the mrx disk. I think the enneti is far more superior (one piece) and it is a bit lighter.

I finished the MTX-3 the other night. The only thing i have left to set is droop. I'll start break-in tonight.

I was very impressed with the way the car went together. I'm just worried that I didn't sand down the brakes pads enough, so I may take them out tonight and take a little more off of them.

I actually had it together tuesday night, for the most part. Last night was just finishing cleaning up the wire-routing, fuel tubing, mount the pipe, toss it on the hudy board and little stuff like that.

teflon pad? The black brake pads it came with?, or is this an optional part?

teflon pad is optional and it is orange color. the box stock pad is black color and it is a bit thicker

The teflon brake pads are an optional item. Are REAL interesting if you run with foams and one-way (makes the braking less criticalal) now seemed weird that Mugen didn't trowed a set of teflon pads on their MTX3 makes the braking more progressive and easier.

Does the teflon brake pad, H0359 work with the MTX-3? SpeedtechRC has it listed as a MTX-2 part.
