the yellow pad dose grab sooner though, its all in what you want the clutch to do.
keep playing with it.
I'm not such a friend of doing those things of removing weights (May cause instability on the pressure plate and not going completely straight and spit one of the weights). Instead of this I've tested further lightening enlarging the holes they have up to 4mm each one. Much better solution.

I don't know how much stiff is the MSR spring, but the extra hard from Mugen (H0774 if I'm not wrong) is the way to go. Doesn't need so much tension to give nice results.

2 shoe with weights in the holes, this works very well
4 shoe and make the holes bigger works well too
you just got to play with it to see what works for you and the track you run at,i do both of these

The H0774 spring is a different color than the MSR spring.

Hey guys what's new? Been a while as I been just working and enjoying my days off at the apt focusing on other needed items. Any news on some updates for the car? I been thinking since I don't use my 8th as much I'll toss the JR servo into the MTX4 for steering and the current steering servo in the sedan for throttle. The Q is how much more of a drain will I notice using two powerful servos. Both are digital btw. I have a 1400NIMH Rx and a 1200NIMH rx pack.

I run 2 digital hi-tech servos in mine (with a personal tranponder) and i'm using a 1200mah batt. I've run all day many times on one charge without worries. As long as the battery is good, you'll have no problem.

The R has different lower arms than the stock 4 (the 3 is different than both of them). The R arms have a cut-out so the steering screw on the upright will clear it. (the uprights are different too). I put the R set-up on my stock 4 and I love it. Works very well for all tracks.

Only problem is, the cut-out is a weak point. Instead of breaking uprights (like we usually do Gent), you'll break the new lower arm. So, if you decide to upgrade, get more lower arms than uprights. Just my opinion...

Yup, that's what i'm talking about. The track Gent and I race on has low grip and I actually had to take away steering (less caster) because it would turn in so well that it would pull the back end around. After I did that, the car was hooked up! If I can get my motor tuned right, better watch out, that's all i'm sayin.

Hey Jet, I am breaking in my engine now. I did not realize the arms for the 4 were different then the 4R (which I have). When are you guys racing at VORRA again? I will be through Richmond this weekend so if the track is set up I will swing by. I need to get some pic of your races as well.

Sorry, no race this weekend. We race 1st and 3rd sundays. We do have a race on the 29th though to make up for a race that got washed out.

Some other time then, and bring your car! The stock set-up on the 4R works well on our track (minus a little caster ) and you'd do fine with that RB motor of yours. I'd like to see it run anyway. The tires we run are 37's or 38's.

Seems like a lot of people want to see that thing run. I will be up at 301 later Sunday evening, may finish the break in there.
