Here are the draft instructions for adjusting the 2-speed shoes. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Hey RMD

Do you have a website for the racing in Hawaii? I would love to attend your race next year.

Thanks

The club does not have a Web site. Our championship is held in March, either on the 1st or 3rd weekend, depending on Team Mugen's schedule. If you have any other questions, just let me know.

Once you get close to 0.2 to 0.3mm gap, then you can seat the 2 screws that hold the shoes together. Like I said on my previous post, go all the way in and then go back out 4.5 turns as a starting point. It's important to set the gap correctly so the shoes doesn't need to expand too much to reach the housing. Depending on the shift point at the track, you can then adjust 1/4 turn increment at a time until you get it to shift where you want. The gap, by the way, is kind of like an adjustable tool also. The bigger the gap, the harder the second will engage and vice versa.
I had the same problem; my car would not shift into 2nd gear. Well I perform this procedure and it work the first time. The only thing that was not clear was when you measure the OD of your two speed clutch shoes you have measure diagonally across the shoes (NOT across the screws which hold the balls)this is the contact point. The other point that was unclear was you said run the spring screws all the way in, I take it you mean until the spring is fully compressed (NOT HOW THE MANUAL SAYS) and then run them out 4.5 turns. This is way i did it and worked perfectly the first time. Thanks again for the valuable info. MR Gutierrez

NEVERMIND I SHOULD HAVE LOOKED AT THE DRAFT ON THE DATABASE

Looks great Roger! It's come a long way since you showed us the first pictures of the indoor track. Cool!
