Some rubbers are good, some rubbers are poo-poo !

Foams are so much easier... no gluing and choosing inserts and stuff like that .

I'm getting my V1S tomorrow..i have a Side exhaust threaded crank engine with me now.i plan to drop it instead of the stock engine.
would i need special engine mounts?
Thanks

Ryan:
if ur wheels are spining too much at idle, adjust the mixture(Low speed) needle.richen it a little.

Ok for the clutch to engage on idle is normal... If it is going to fast on idle then you can either cut the spring on your clutch to make it shorter so it doesnt engage to early... or you can adjust the collar on the throttle linkage, the collar on the end if you move it closer to the end then it wont open the throttle as much on idle.

I would recommend buying the um210 clutch!
Hope this helps

You would need new mounts and the fd49 flywheel, and probably the um210 clutch

It wont be your clutch !

Its most likely be your linkages or mixtures

is this ur 1st time into RC?
cos it's perfectly normal to have the wheels spinning a bit even at idle.
get ur radio ready, put the car on the floor...if it runs fast, then u have a problem.it should be ok if it's crawling.

It's so hard to say without actually being there and seeing what it's actually doing, but that's not gunna happen .

All I can think of is the idle speed, low end mixture or a leak in the carby.

Hmmm.... if you race on a boarded track then you're gunna need more spares cos there's a lot more risk.

I'd suggest:
- Pillow balls (I've bent a few, but I whacked them back into shape with a hammer)
- Drive belts definately!
- A pulley set
- Dogbones (they can pop out, happened to me and driving with it like that is not easy )
- Suspension arms (to be safe... )

That's about all I can think of at the moment... anyone else got anything to add...?
