Serpent Cobra GT

By installing the raiser you've already changed your roll centre. On the upper link I'm inner hole 2nd hole up but have a play with this depending upon how you want the car to feel. The immediate feeling of the car with the diff raiser is that I had more rotation and stability. The car just felt better everywhere. I'm about.3-.4 seconds a lap faster with the 3.0 than I was with the 2.0

Upgrades
Stock gearing on 2.0 is 16/49 19/45 which should be fine in the most part. I will goto 17/20 on large tracks with long straight.
The diff raiser changes the roll centre of the car to make it closer to what an onroad car should be rather than a buggy.
You can but I would upgrade the whole front end as it makes a big difference. Serpent do a full 2.0 to 3.0 suspension update kit which is well worth the investment p/n: 600717

Do you recommend both front and rear diff raisers?
Also I have already the zero caster steering block (600611). Is this the right one to use with the 3.0 parts?

If you already have the 0° steering block give it a try if it fits your personal setup. It´s changing the offset steering in a way I don´t like.

I am only running the rear diff riser. I like the 0-deg steering blocks on my 3.0 with the 6 degree caster blocks. It is a personal choice on the way you want the car to feel and so try stock and 0-deg and see.

Marcus your car was on rails at the Brownsville Serpent Challenge. If these racers had seen it run and Paolo trying to catch you they'd be knocking your door down! JZRacing bodies and Flo-Control pistons ... a winning combination! You two drew the crowd just to see the qualifiers! Congrats Again

Marcus, are you running the front diff spacer or just the rear one like Paolo? I've tried with both fitted and I'm not quite sure about it. Rear only seems better to me but what do you guys think if you've tried it already?

I run only the rear. I think Marcus doesn't use it. We have 2 different setups concepts. Marcus car in Brownsville was really good.

As Paolo says our setups are completely different but i also think our driving styles are too. Only common denominator is the Flo-control pistons but even there he runs lighter oil than i do.
