*Section 15 of the instructions shows the brake discs being fitted into the wrong hole......have a close look and you`ll see the correct hole to mount in to.
* The stock centax clutch setting was too heavy for my liking, I wound mine out about 1/2-3/4 turn and its perfect now
* The 2 speed recommends to wind out the screws 3 turns from fully wound in. I found this was way off for the tracks i race on. Between 4 turns and 3 3/4 turns is ideal for me.
* Get the Kyosho Aluminium brake hub (VZW205).....if it doesnt already come with the WC kit.......the plastic ones tend to melt if they cop too much heat.
Hope this helps a bit
Cheers
Couldn't have said it better but the kit does already come with the aluminum brake holder. I'd reccomend upgrading to the Skyline Shock tower though. It's the Kyosho shock tower beefed up to 4mm.

I use a Mugen starter box. Having the flat plate to sit the car on is handy.

Joemugen's shock tower has worked well for me and it's very affordable.

KinetxRC.com sells 1200mAh battery packs for $10. Fast shipping and great support too.

Default Re: Diff Oils

Hi there I hope SOMEONE can help me!
Im builing a WC kit just now, and race on a tight, med-low traction surface.
Im going to use the fron diff as I like front diffs, can anyone recommend front and rear diff oils to run as a good starting guide.
30,000 kit rear seems way to stiff to me, can u even turn that?!!!

Thanks in advance

Ross

30000 works great in the rear diff. It feels a little light to me but worked fine, even at the Winternats with crazy traction. I'm not sure about the front, maybe heavier if you want less steering but lighter if you want more steering. I think the solid axle is the best choice though.

Im just trying to establish whats going to be best for a tight, technical track that isnt sticky black asphalt like the good circiuts.
I suppose the traction could be described as parking lot.

What would be the advantage of the solid front vs a diff ?

Thanks!

Thanks for the info. From looking at your aviatar it looks as if you're from Brea, so I assume you probably race at Revelation Raceway. If so can you tell me does the kit diff oil work their or should I go lighter/thicker. Also how close is the kit setup for that track. One last thing, are you guys running Kyosho shock springs or others.

Thanks,
Keith

Jeffreylin - thanks. Should I buy extra springs?? If so, should I get the Kyosho springs, Associated, etc.

I only have the Kyosho springs and I seldom have to change them--maybe that's why I am slow!
