  • Inform him to add 1 more shim to top and bottom of diff case and fill with oil 100%.
  • After 2 days of practice you need to replace the oil. It's not the same as RRR.

I didn´t have any problem with rear diff... a friend has, and he shimmed, but it didn`t fix... so we start to look very carefully to the car... and he makes a mistake... the fuel tubbing that put inside the rear diff cups makes a lot of presure to the dogbone...so, when the suspension compress, the dogbone makes a lot of force over de diff cups and was transmited to the diff gears, breaking it...
...
Hope that to be helpfull...
My R4 is a mounster!!! jejejej

Default diff case

I have received the updated plastic diff case will be running this weekend will let you know. I have not gotten the steel diff gears yet, I did run the old one that was in the kit and it lasted three races all practices and qualifiers and a-mains, it broke at the last race 20 minutes in the main. when i built the diff i had to dremel some of the small gears free of little burs when you build put it together dry and make sure of smooth operation.

Sorry for the delay but today was our local championship and was tyred.

With the new rear diff case and steel diff gears you can you the default shimming.1 top and 1 bottom.

The steel diff gears seems to have diaper cut and working better.
We also need to replace front diff gear too. No problem but steel gear is better than stock.

Default diff gears

I ran the new case with the old gears (haven't got the steel gears yet) i shim .1 behind 2 of the four small gears, i tried 4 shims but it was to tight so i tried the 2 and it work fine all weekend we had rain so i was limited to about 20 minutes of track time so i will run again n two weeks and let you know. mine diff leaked but it was deffinely because i over filled it. I will put a little less fluid next time. note my two speed wobles but I have not had any problems with the gears.
