As for rubber tire options I noticed Kyosho DRX wheels are 12mm hex and the axle is 6mm, correct, so basically these would fit FW04 paired with 12mm traxxas 12mm wheel hexes for 6mm axle. Not optimal but for parking lot racing would propably do. There was also information that proline 2.2 road rage tyres would fit kyosho DRX wheels..

The TR series buggies and cars used the same wheels as the super ten, and tires are the same as the super & fw-04.

The D platform cars, not sure what the axles, hexs, and wheels are like... but the tires are the same as the old Landmax & landmax II. This tire is a lot bigger. You can almost fit the super tire inside it. I'll try to get a picture.

Ok, prolly too big then. And super needs slicks or foams. I'm in the process of getting some hpi super rims and tires, also will try those traxxas hexes to fit the hpi wheels. My car does have those custom cut 12mm hexes but they're a bit worn out on the edges (at least one of them).

Ok, I bought a set of HPI wheels and tires for this car from eBay. Have 12mm hexes.

Have changed gears and clutcbell to new ones from eBay as well. 13/17 and 43/39 gearing. This came with huge 16/19 gearing on the bell.

Foams still pictured.

Hi guys,
I may be getting the 39666S older 2-speed for my fw04 but I believe the center shaft is too long. Do you know if I can replace it with the shaft of fzw56 to make it fit ? Other options ?
Thanks

(If I get it and does not fit I'm willing to sell or trade)

I can't remember, Mika; I will check to see if it will work when I get home.
I just found a new FW04 2-speed trans shaft the other day in one of my parts boxes.

Happy New Year! Jon

Not sure if it will fit, i think that's the older fw03 tranny (confirm??)... There were 3 types for the 04. 2 from Kyosho (1 basic black coloured, and the other better built fzw56), and another made by form racing. Good luck finding a form tranny, but there are fzw56 trannys around still. Avoid the black version.

Glad you like it and you are not alone! Something special definitely about this car, the design, size and scale looks. Modern tourers are not quite like and the robustness of the shaft drive is a big plus. Wide selection of options available still around, too.

Hpi super nitro tires or kyosho fw03 tires. These can be fpund on eBay for instance.

Jon, did you have a chance to check the fw03 2-speed (green and yellow stock gears) fitting on fw04 or it's 2-speed shaft. Thanks again.

Well decided to let the 2-speed go.
Those traxxas 12mm wheel hexes are a perfect fit for the fw04. Will post pics later.

If anyone is in need of engine mounts have a spare. Alternatively I'm interested in a rear exhaust header/manifold if anyone is willing to sell.

asking superten's owner.

anyone knows the diameter and width of the original supertens wheel/tyres (fw03).
planing to get foam tyres set for my fw03, but i think 1/10 foam tyres set diameter too small for the superten. So is it posibble to mounted 1/10 wheels with 1/8 donuts foams?, since the diameter of un-trued donuts foam thick enough.

thx for advice guys
