It replaces the 2 down stop tabs on the front lower A Arms, when using the 17060 you will need to cut off the existing tab (for the down stops) from the lower arm

As kamikaze mentioned you have to cut off the existing downstop tab on the lower wishbones.

I made a diy receiver protection ( used nt1 box with some modification, gonna post pictures ). It weights 18 grams and it is too much weight for protection. I hate the idea of unprotected receiver. Anyone using receiver next to pipe or somewhere else?

I almost finished building the kit. I bought 2 kits, 1 spare and 1 one for racing. One kit has 3 defective parts, other is perfect.

Rear joint cups. Cups are too small ( shaft does not move freely ) and 1 one of the small parts ( the one enters drive shaft) is too thick.
Brake level 16029, hole diameter is too small ( Easy fix with dremel )

I have a suspension arm reamer and it is a must have tool for Lab.

My throttle servo is Futaba BLS451. I will change it with a Savöx low profile and lower it by 4-5mm with shims ( DS's idea ). More than 15 grams of weight savings.

I will replace all the screws holding radio plate with Ti ones to lower CG.

I have the heavy engine mount cap-16005b. It weights 50.3 grams vs 15 grams standard. It is advertised %300 heavier vs kit mount but it is more. I am curious about engine temps.

The kit is great. I have been spending lots of time with building and I know it will be worth it. Even I am an inpatient guy, I am happy with the slow building progress. The car is perfect and it deserves a perfect building.

Season opening race this weekend, can't wait

18 grams is too much weight for a receiver box, but you use a 300% heavier engine mount???

I think nobody will do this!
Because you have to route the cables through the whole car!!
From the servos to the other side to the pipe and back to the battery...!
No good idea..!

And: I dont know where you are from...
But here in Germany we have a minimum weight of 1700 grs. for official races!
And the Lab is absolutely underweight out of the box!!
I have problems to find enough space to put nearly 160 grs. into the car!

So you dont need Ti screws, lighter servos or other stuff to reduce the weight!
(If you race official races!!!)

I am from Turkey and 1700gr is limit here too.

18 gram to right side edge will mess up weight distribution. Imo heavy engine mount is a must part because it lowers CG quite alot just like brass battery plate and it is more dense so it will flex less.

I actually need lightweight servos to use the heavy engine mount. I will not use Ti screws everywhere. Only at upper chassis to lower CG.

I plan to use 40-50 grams of tungsten weight for balancing. Using %10 weight to make a car legal is not easy. Where do you put all these weight without changing 50-50 right left balance?

When I finish build in a few days, I will post weight scale and cars pictures.

Hi!
Weight of the carbon fibre plate with a LiFe-Battery is 75grs.
(i use that for friendly races!)

Weight of the brass battery plate with extra lead plates and LiFe-Battery is 209 grs!!
(i use that for official races!)

And why do you make the install of your receiver box so complicated??
I use a very simple solution and you have nothing to cut or to modify at the chassis or at the Xray receiver box!! (ok... two extra holes for the screws...!! )

Your talking about two of my mates of Middle Eastern Appearance who get together one night and "Shazam" - MacGiver is reborn again.
One reason which may explain this is the fact that these two Gentlemen have changed more car brands between them than I have undies in the last 12 months. Oh Johnny woohnt ya come back hohoome- Xgay misses you.

Hi,

You receiver solution is not safe because it has only 3mm contact patch to radio plate and only 4 screws holding it. Its back is empty.

Gonna post pictures tonight.
