There's a lot of fast people here - after one round of qualifying, it's way too early to even guess, but from past races, you quickly learn that it's not enough to be fast... You've got to be fastest overall for a full hour. Sometimes the fastest guys burn out before the race is finished.
As to who's fast, if I keep posting the qualifying results at the end of each day, I guess that's the answer to your question.

For the second group of Wednesday's photos, one of the files seems to have gotten corrupted when I sent it over to the web. Here's a new link that works:
http://www.sgrid.com/2009/toledo-nats/wed-3/
(It says "wed-3" and it works fine, until/unless I rename it to the old name, "wed-2", probably because something in my computer's cache still remembers the old corrupted file.... not sure what's wrong, but this fixes things for now.)

Friday's Report
The full day Friday was devoted to qualifying. After round #2 had been completed, there was a break in the program, while the racers were resorted based on their single best qualifier. This would put most of the slowest/fastest guys together with others of equal ability.
Two more qualifiers were run after the resort, and part of another, which will be completed Saturday morning before the rest of the qualifiers are run.
Weather is still Kodak-perfect. The races are being run on a time schedule, and an old-time railroad conductor would be pleased to see how well the organizers are doing at keeping to the schedule! For those of us walking around the track, there's a great PA system to keep people informed of what's going on, and for those racers pitting in trailers, they can tune the broadcast in on their radios. I understand that the audio feed is also being broadcast on the internet.
There are four image galleries from today:
Gallery 1 is some photos from the fastest sedan qualifier from round #3.
Gallery 2 is some photos from the Masters Class qualifiers in round #3.
Gallery 3 is some photos from the fastest 1/8 Open qualifier, again in round #3.
Lastly, Gallery 4 is some random photos taken around the track.
The last photos in the Masters gallery are rather unique – Bill Walth got an r/c car to do something I've never seen before, and I was lucky enough to capture the photo – check it out!!!

Hey Mike....link for the qual standings doesn't work?

Mike, as always great pictures. Since many of us could not make it to Toledo, the pictures help. Thanks again.

Try it now - it should be fixed. Hopefully the other links work... my connection is so slow I can't check that anything is working or not, as things time out before I can see if it's OK.
Sorry it's a 'pdf' file; they were supposed to give me an 'html' file instead. Actually, both seem to work equally well, so if anyone has any preference, just let me know.
RC Scoring Pro doesn't seem to have the capability to output this information in plain old text format, which to me means it's very difficult to work with. From a reporter's viewpoint, I far prefer JLap and Autoscore, neither of which has this problem. I do like the idea of having 'pdf' and 'html' output, but it should be in addition to text, not instead of it!
