Matt Taylor,

Woodville Mall is NOT in foreclosure!!! Do not start spreading rumors. I just heard from the Woodville Mall manager that it is not in foreclosure. The Toledo race track is just fine.

Perhaps you could have sent Brian or Ted or others a PM before coming on an open board, and causing people undo concern.

Hey guys, I have made arrangements to come to this race. Can someone please provide me with some information? Such as, how will be the weather and other conditions at this time of year, Temperature, Usual Humidity and elevation.

What sort of tire is most commonly used for practice/qual/main?

Thanks in advanced!

The weather is probably the best time of the season here in the mid-west area. Temps should be around 75-80 during the days and around mid-60's in the evening. Rain can not be counted as there is no typical schedule for when rain arrives. But that time of year is before the rainy season starts (fall time). You should enjoy the weather!

As for tires, I would say for 8th 35's all the way around seem to always be a good choice. You might venture into 37's later in the week when there is more traction but not necessary. As for touring car, someone else will have to chime in as I don't race that class.

Even on club days now, I'm running 40 & 38 shore fronts and 42 & 45 rears on my NT1(JACO) . I can't imagine that you will need softer compounds then the above. When traction gets off the hook during some bigger races, I run harder tires and smaller diameters. The nice thing about Toledo is the traction compound they use doesn't get ridiculous like VHT can. There may be a few corners that can get tippy, but much of that can be dialed out by suspension set-ups and a spool up front.

With other cars that may be somewhat different.

Thanks. This is helpful. Loran and I haven't raced in Toledo yet.

I'm not saying that they have not put one in, but last year at the GLC, they did not have one... but that should not be a problem, many people have power supplies and rental cars with the hood up...
