Originally posted by InitialD I hear that they are good. How much is the Project Zen versions going for? I myself am running the older version of the STS RS3 engine. Had to change the conrod to a Nova one. More reliable. Overall bang for the buck I must say. But I hear the newer D3 and D5 ones still need their conrods to be checked once in a while. I guess they are the same with Sirio engines. You need to check the conrod from time to time. $209.99- Zen modified D3/D5 $ 89.99- Zen modified 3/5 port piston/sleeve with conrod assembled. |

Originally posted by InitialD Woow ! Their prices are pretty attractive. Are you the official distributor for them? They're a couple of cities away, and I was thinking about adding them as one of my vendors. |

Originally posted by markp27 You language skills are coming to the fore again, D ;) I was looking high-and-low for this, but it looks like mine needs running in. It makes a lot difference in rod life. Watch the different "sound" it will produce. Yesterday is my 1st day I crank my KHM 21 on the bench. I shut it down on the second tanks, the engine is producing a scarry pitched sound in the mid to top rpm. I thought that I had a bad batch of KHM but after talking w/ my partner who ride it already, he assure me that this engine is really having different "sound". So i supposed it was came from the ceramic pitching. I must wait till this sunday to install the ceramic to my RR to proove it and hopefully can answer bro D question. |

Re: Any last minute tips!?
Originally posted by markp27 Ok off to run-in the engine in 3 hours :D I'm going to do the first couple of tanks on the starter (i.e. wheels off the ground) very rich and @ WOT (first tank max 80 Deg C). Then still keeping it rich, the next few tanks on the circuit until the piston hasn't so much resistance when the engine is hot. Then over the next few tanks, slowly lean the motor out - keeping an eye on the temp. Any final tips? Cheers, Mark. Yep Don't enjoy driving the 710 'cause you'll be driving it to fast like I did and fry the egine  Lets say keep it "slow&steady" :D ps: - L |
Originally posted by BIBOY my friend has one and he heard the same thing... broke the motor and had to replace piston and sleve... be carefull:cool: been around for 3 tanks yesterday, it is scarry me enough. I will go to tear it apart tonight. Anyway, it thrills my heart to limit enough  Still in 80 deg.C , bogs a bit but after that whaaaa !! I have no guts left to lean it more. |
