Hey bro, better to put a coat of grease in there. Less wear on the plates.

I felt that too, with thicker shock oil the car tends to handle better and better when you raise the tire shore. But in full throttle sweeper the car bit "nervous"(Inside front tire having on/off ground).
Julius mentioned that with thicker shock oil, weight transfer happens slower. I guess your sweeper is a little bumpy? Allowing a little more droop in the front might help.

No, it is their own series, not Serpent Asia Challenge.

Yes, the one use by Julius (because of that less camber change on roll) is about 25% less rear tracktion without changing anything else as I used it for the first setup.

Herbie, remember that to break in an engine, you should be doing it fast. It will give you a great FAST engine. but remember to heat cycle it. you should be ok though.

Did you fix your engine? What did you replace?

Crankshaft and conrod - everything else seems AOK - the sleave is still tight, so the engine is bearly broken in. Just need to get a glow plug - as I forgot to order a spare one - one is on its way.

Maybe a good tip for everyone; if you want to virtually drive on 5 Dutch tracks, including MACH, go to www.bigscaleracing.com and order the game.
You can also download the demo which features only one track, which is the track closest to where I live. One drawback... you'll be driving those sluggish lawnmowers.

Oh and another thing... I may be getting my hands on a MTX-3 soon. Does anyone want to buy it for $55?

I will give you 60$ if it has an engine. I need a backyard basher.

WOW, that was lucky. wasnt the piston hectically scored? and the sleave? I suppose if it isnt too bad you can still run it till it says NO MORE!!!

Fortunately, the big pieces of metal stayed in the bottom of the engine and only damaged parts of the casing - shouldn't affect the engine much.
The piston land sleave looked like they had small scratches on them, but I think this was more the brass colouring from the sleave due to the run-in cycle.

I just need to get it fired up on the bench and then see how it behaves.

I think it should be fine then. How were the bearings? I am sure that f you run it, it should be ok... better than buying a new engine 'ey
