rwisejr, what synthesized units are you using with your 3PK? I thought they're not out yet.

I am currently using the spectra module from my hitec transmitter and the novak xxtra receiver.:D

Maybe we might finally uncover the man behind the mask.

Thank God............I've been holding my breath for along time now!!   :flaming:

Anyway back to the #1 car on this thread!

I had success with a 16/61 gear combo this past weekend thanks to Master D's tip with a tighter gear mesh. I ran about 5-6 tanks through and notice no wear on the spur gear! D was right about the mesh will be tight at first then loosen up after run......Thanks!:D :smile:

Yes. That is what some had done here. Take a look here to check out what is needed to be done when you lower the engine mounts. You need to do something on the tank mounting and the carb linkage.

Hey Mark. Sorry for the incident. :( Strange that the controller did not go into fail safe mode. A same incident happened to a friend of mine at our local track. The crystal on the receiver loosened out but the car went into fail safe mode and the throttle / brake servo was locked. That was on the 3PK. But I would gather that it would work the same on the 3PJ that you're using. Are you by any chance using Futaba receivers? I thought I remember you mention that you're using something else for the receiver... Perhaps that's why the fail safe did not kick in or supported...

You can try bending it. But if it was me, I'll look at the place where the chassis bent. If it's at the nose BEFORE the first screw mounting where the front bulkheads are secured, then it will not tweak the chassis as a whole. Well, if you leave it, it'll be OK I guess. It'll just be ugly.

If the bend is somewhere in the middle part where the front bulkhead is screwed and mounted, there is a chance that the front part will be tweak.
