I'm actually very pleased with the current diff I'm having. Still very smooth and no gritty feeling.

- Very easy to drive, I can put very consistant (160) laps inside .7 seconds.
- Hard braking is never been easier.
- No more right pull (from stanstill)
- More confident :D

Well its moves up and down fine but when I lift it up it doesnt frop down by itself. So I guess it doesnt move freely as it should be. I did loosen the 4 screws on top that holds the sway bar down but it still stays up, it helped a bit. I dont think it has anything to do with the screws. Should I put some kind of grease on it or is there something inside that gap I dont know about :sneaky:

The reason I brought this up, is I found a problem when I built mine. The center of the anti-roll bar has an upside U shaped bend which rides up in the hole in the carbon fiber. If you look at the under side of the carbon fiber plate, after you have run the car you may see where it is wearing on the under-sides of the hole in the carbon fiber. I had to shave off a 45 degree bevel on both sides to get the anti-roll bar to move freely in either direction.

Tornado Fuel Filter

But still, I'm still using the small external fuel filter made by Tornado.

What's inside this Tornado filter? Is it just a fine mesh or something similar to the brass piece in most fuel tanks?

Do you have a picture as to how much you shaved the anti-roll bar? My car is spanking new with only 4 break in tanks so far :(
Do you think after some more run in time with my car the anti-roll bar will move more freely on its own? I dont know if I should raise the bar higher on one side or to shave the bevel
Im leaning more towards shaving it, I done like it when things are uneven :sneaky:

I didn't shave the roll bar. I shaved (beveled) the underside of the carbon fiber plate. The up-side down, U shaped part of the bar, moves foreward and aft as you raise and lower the ends of the bar. This binds on the under edge of the carbon fiber plate, on each side of the hole, on my car, and it sounds like it does on yours too. About a 45 degree bevel relieved this. Sorry I can't take a pic-- I'm all packed up for the Winter Nats.
I do believe this will wear in in time.

Cool... will check it when I get home to see which part of the carbon fiber needs to be shaved. Did you use a dremel or sandpaper?
Good luck at the Winter Nats, you will be racing?

I usually drive with a oneway, what difference will a locked oneway have besides giving me more brake? Will I lose some turn into corners?

Thanks

Picard, in my opinion, a locked one-way should not be used just to get more brakes alone.

I prefer to look at the track layout first: if its highly technical with a lot of last minute braking required then I don't have a choice but use a solid front (at least until the front diff becomes available anyway). If the thrack is a combo of sweeping corners as well as braking then I'll most likely use either depending on my driving confidence on the day. :)

On some configuration, a solid front can give a tremendous out-corner on-power advantage apart from braking. This though you need to balance with tyre wear, fuel economy and available grip. ;)

Given the chance I prefer to race with a front one-way and solid rear though!

It is a simple fine mesh of netting.

Step 3.12 on page 14 of the 710 manual suggest to use 48 mm as the connecting rod length for the rear sway bar.

Adjust this length accordingly to adjust tweak.
