I asked what those numbers meant and somebody chided to say that was utterly waste of time to know what it meant !

Perhaps it's good to bring that subject up again and probably have people like Rene C answer it.

On the back of my box one of the codes is specifically labeled "Batch: D495".
So I'm sure if you could get someone to say what batch numbers have the updated parts, you would know which kit to buy.
On the back of my other Serpent kits, they each have a batch number.
I'm not sure if we could use this method around the world, or just here in the US.

Havent touched my 710 in about 3 weeks and I dont plan to run it in another 3 weeks. How long can I let the 710 sit before I need to change the shock oils? Going to LA for vacation

Going on Vacation and not taking your SNAKE:eek:   no... you will need to rebuild it completely when you get back or she'll not want to perform... be nice to your snake and take it to LA, you may find a track and then you can race there one or twice...

I am only joking, dont take it to heart... :D

If you're coming here to Southern California for vacation, you better take your 710 with you.
We have a lot of big namers down here and several nice tracks.
It's also usually sunny and warm.
You'll regret not bringing it with you.

I would take off the shocks or just suspend the wheels and not let it compressed.

I would not be worried about the shocks. I would be more worried about the engine.

It should work the world over if we can decipher the coding since it comes only from Holland and distributed to the world all over.

I wasn't sure if Serpent USA put these stickers on, that's why I wasn't sure if this method would work.
Ok, here's what my sticker says.

SERPENT MRC B.V.
QUALITY CONTROL
80200
SERPENT 710 2004
PACKED BY: IV/FN
CHECKED BY: RH
BATCH: D495 WEIGHT: 2.295 kg

I know the codes might be different, but is the format basically the same on your's?

I got mine before Christmas last year.
I know it was one from the first batch to the US.

PSI Racing 04-22-2004 12:12 AM

Batch

I guess now all we have to do is find out what batch has the updated parts.

Mine was one of the first batches to Malaysia.

D, have you tried out that front ball diff yet?
How do you like it?
How does the car handle with the front one-way locked?
Did you have to use a different setup?

Tried it briefly. Nice handling. Must not make the diffs too loose. Turning is nicer than the front solid axle.

Unfortunately when I tried the front diff, I was using different shocks. 40 wt with 4 holes (1.2 mm holes) front and rear. Was using front yellow and rear white with 37 shore front and rear. Car handled nice. I just need to test out more with harder springs and harder tires this weekend with the same shocks.

Have you put the Mazda into action yet?
