Where did you get those specs? If they are ordinary rear exhaust 3 port engines with microcasted piston, the part number should be 2103 MCP since there is already an ordinary rear exhaust 3 port engine in NovaMega's product line up in the form of part number 2103.:confused:

Compare? FW-05 is made by kyosho and S710 is made by Serpent, so its different :nod: :D

I have seen a few in action. Not that impressive I must say. But I guess as with all cars, you need to set it correct. Anyway, I would gather that from the shaft driven design, high internal ratio (3.0 or 3.08) with a minimum FDR of about 5.0, the car is suited for smaller tracks and have good acceleration. If you have a huge track, the 710 is the way to go.:nod:

Not microcasted. CAST piston, ie. the technology before the RS12 S3. Think RS12 S1.

serpent battery

Can anybody tell me if i should discharge my reciever batteries after a weekend of racing to keep them in good condition?

P.S. has anybody heard when the new wheel are coming out for the 710?

If it is a NiMH RX pack then you dont need to discharge. If it is a NiCD RX pack then you should discharge.

I think Serpent USA has screwed up. That motor is OLD I remember a few kicking around like 3 years ago....... BTW that motor also sucks hard, at least the original items did, the piston/sleeve fit was TERRIBLE and it took around 2 litres to run the motor in. The porting was not optimised in the crank and the bottom end was shocking.

Like AMGRacer mentioned, NiMH does not need discharging. But some purist would insist on discharging theirs anyways.:rolleyes:

Look at mytsn 710 forum. Ronald Baar replied to say this;

"The mould is in its final stages, but then the rims must be produced and then the tire manufacturers will take their time to make the complete product.

I estimate it will take until june-july before most shops will have them.

Until then the current ones are still working fine and will remain available as well. "
