Supermaxx the pressure is on you  Just take it easy and spend some time with the car to see how it runs. Im sure you want to make a good impression the first time but im sure all the R40 guys spent some time getting their cars dialed in as well. Dont "hero" it :D

On Line Shop

INITIAL D:
Followed your advice and ordered from the On Line Shop in Hong Kong. Got my shipment in 9 days and saved 35%.

Don't worry, I won't hero it. I don't want to break my car the first time out. Heck, I'll probably set the throttle so it only opens up to 3/4 throttle until I get used to the car. Its been quite a while since I've driven on road and I don't want to be bouncing off the boards!  But I'm sure by the end of the first day I'll have the hang of it again and be kicking there asses! :p Can't wait!
Sounds good Goldfinger! Can't wait to get those shims.:D I really appreciate it:nod:

I got this from IDs post but I couldn't find it again.

clmbia45 03-24-2004 08:20 PM

I ordered a Futaba R203HF 75MHZ receiver. Couldn't even find it here in the states for another month or two.
Payed by PayPal and for less than $5 they have a shipping guarantee.

Why? I run 16/21 pinions with 61/57 spurs. They should be available.

Rule #4

Julius, my old flying instructor would add rule # 4:

Don't worry son,
flying at night is just like the daytime...

except you can't see anything.;)

Yup. But when you use loctite, remember to let it set in and cure for a while. If not, same thing happens again.

You could use lexan pieces that you throw away from your bodyshell. Cut them in the same shape as the wheel hex adaptor. Cheap, easy and most importantly, free.

I was thinking, I want to get a fuel gun to make it easier for my g/f and or pit guy to fuel my car without giving it a bath... oi vey! some people cant AIM !! ok , its out of my system, plus I am cleaning my car tonight.
If you do not know how to use the fuel gun, it can be more detrimental i.e. more fuel spillage !

but what about a truer? it that a good investment? or should Ijust pay $10 to have my tyres (a set of 4) cut?
Yes, it is a good investment if you seriously plan to be in the hobby long. Else, do like what I do. Let the track true the tires for you ! Do some tire management. Run and play with them out of the box and when they reach a certain diameter, keep them for race days. You get added track time with the extra foam.

is it important to cut the tyres? bc I have ran them outof the box...
what is the benefit ?:weird:

The benefit is that you can use lower profile tires. Smaller tires like 62 to 60 mm perform the best.
