Anyone got or know where to get the new aluminium pulleys for the 710?? :confused:

Ok, thanks went I use the same setting it is hard for the engine to star (slow star), could this be a wrong setting in the engine?

Do you mean to start the engine on the starter box? This has nothing to do with the clutch settings.

If you mean when the engine is running and you try and get the car to move, if the engine revs very high, then you have tightened the clutch spring pre-tension nut too much.

Send us some details of how far onto the pre-tension nut is screwed down - measure from the top of the screw thread to where the pre-tension nut is.

If it is a Tractor Puller or 1/18 scale car, then won't believe it, but if it is the Serpent F1 then I would believe it. But on the other hand, why are they start to sell 2/3 1100 mah batteries?

We just need to wait and see. Serpent are normally good to keep the card very close.

Check in the FAQ section 6.16.1 for details of Serpent Team Driver Per-Ola Hård’s 2005 S710.

On top of these there is the new chassis (802121) and the 21T (802171) alu pulley - these two are excellent tuning options which make a real improvement to the 710.

Not really with the starter box, what I mean is when I accelerate. The pre-tension nut is 1mm in from the screw thread.

Then really you have to listen more to the engine, to hear if it is revving too much before the cluch engages.

Watch your car in the pits as you start to give some throttle with your controller - does it start to move as soon as you start to open the throttle? If yes then add more pre-tension. If you open the throttle quite away before it starts to move and the engine revs quite highly, then it maybe that you have too much pre-tension.

It is very difficult to tell you exactly how to setup the clutch without being there, but the engine should rev a bit before the car starts to move - but it shouldn't rev too high.

Check the clutch bell temp after driving for a while - in my experience, it shouldn't really get over 60 Degrees C - if it does, then this probably indicates too much pre-tension or a badly setup clutch.

I am agree with you. It is to early with a new 1/10 200mm. It could be a new 1/8, but not as we know it today. I believe it will be the Serpent F180 formual 1 car.

The F1 should be coming, so we'll just have to wait and see when exactly. But I agree with the batteries - I see no sense in Serpent producing 1/18th batteries for an electric car - I doubt we'll see an electric car from Serpent.
