On Glen Cauley's Centax III Tuning tips it says the following: "Flywheel Installation
When installing the flywheel on the engine crankshaft, take note of the following:

* Do not forget to install the 0.5mm shim on the crankshaft, behind the brass cone and flywheel"

Does this mean not to use this shim at all?

No you always have to install this shim behind the brass cone.

Cheers, Mark.

MarkP:

I found this while rereading all my orginial posts, i assume you mean through the top of the rim that the tyre glues onto?

BB,

You can only really do this before you have mounted the tyres onto the rims. But then, yes, go through the top of the rim, so as to allow some ventilation once the tyres are mounted.

Cheers, MArk.
