You're right on that one. So does AE with the NTC3 which the shaft can be swap to the front or rear !

Anyway, what does using softer front tires do? More steering? Wouldn't that make the rear unstable?
More steering yes, must reduce the steering DR near 70%.

Rear unstable no.. when the rear of your car being unstable right after using softer front tires ( no other change)
- its time to lower the rear too
- too much steering lock (thanks Julius)

When using solid front, yes the car is very dead easy to drive (thanks again Julius) but when you check your lap times...

Just quick check for you D :
Can you drive your 710 with 35F and 35R with your current setup?

Not a bad guest!

Where do you live GoldFinger?

If I'm as old as the track in KL then this chappie is as old as ground its on!

Having said all that, he is one character you don't want to mess with on or off the track and yes, he IS faster than me despite bing much older

At first it is impossible to drive this 710 with that shore.
But when my setup is really dial up, it is not a problem anymore while using that shore. That is why Im gonna use that as my benchmark to dial up my setup too every track I race.

Better/faster? Not significant.. but easier to spot the setup problem.. like tire wear, camber adjusment.

Im using 37/37 or 40/40 now.

Default yellow springs

Hi
Is there anyone who think that the rear yellow shock absorber springs are a bit too short?
They are shorter than the previous one coming with impulse or 705 Kit.
It is not a big problem, setting the ride height the collars go down until almost the end of thread
But when I check the tweak lifting the rear, the springs don’t push the arms down to downstop. One wheel lift before the other because, probably, the suspension arms on this side move a bit less freely than the ones in the other side
The shocks length is ok, downstops setting is ok
Any tips?
Thanks
Ciao

The springs may seem short but once its installed onto your car it should be fine. Make sure both shocks are equal lenght.

The yellow spring that comes with the 710 is fine. The yellow spring that came with the 705 is the one coming from Veteq. It is longer and softer as well than the stock shorter rear yellow springs that come with the Impulse Streetspec and the 710. Rene cornella mentioned that the longer rear yellow Veteq springs are equivalent to the short orange rear springs. The rule of thumb is that the Veteq rear springs are always 2 colors softer.

Are you checking the tweak with the rear sway bars on or off? Perhaps you need to check if the rear sway bar by itself can move freely without binding...

After you determine that the sway bar moves freely by itself, mount the sway bar on and check the tweak. If they tweak is off, adjust the rod length connecting the sway bar to the lower rear arm to suite the tweak.

The only thing i do not like about this car so far is the e clip on the 2 speed. the cut in the shaft seems to be too narrow or the clip is not big enough
