I love Serpent and I am sticking with them but I am caught up in the land of Mugen's. But I hope to take them out this summer!

I travelled around the South Island, but didn't see much RC...
Are there clubs in the Nelson area?
(edit: found a link...but it's a non-nitro club....)
@M7H:
Thanks for the info. I will try to get there asap, depending on weather. But that will be mostly on normal weekdays....

There aren't many clubs running nitro. At the moment there are only a couple of clubs that really have tracks suited. For the Nationals, there are only 3 clubs approved and one doesn't have a track, so is now down to 2 clubs and mine is one of them. We are running the Nationals for the 2nd year in a row now.
One of the best tracks for nitro is Christchurch's track. Its bloody big and really a 1/8 track, a pity you didn't see it.

Hey Ridder
Noticed you are planning to race more and maybe at the MACH?
If i understand allright you're driving weekday's mostly, well i am driving there during weekday's when the weather allows it....
If you want to drive sometimes and dont have anybody that can help out in pitlane etc whe could maybe helpout eachother.
I aint much off a racer yet but doing my best to become one, fun however is the main objective right now. If you like the idea then send me a personal message or whatever and i'll give you my phone number.

I wrote an email to the secretary of MACH to apply for membership...no reply yet.
And yes...I work shifts, so I have to work most weekends...so a weekday buddy would be very nice! And don't worry: I can't drive! I'm really happy when I can finish a lap without ending up in the grass and at reasonable pace....
But you are ron4you from Modelbouwforum?

No, I think the factory drivers are keeping their respective secret weapons close to their chest.

Yup, when you experienced their warmth, you will never forget! It is a great thing because essentially the Serpent team is not only pormoting the sport but also saying you are all team drivers, let us help you.
The guys you don't get any help from are the ones that "think" they are good drivers....
The guys that do help you, are already excellent drivers, and don't need to proof that........
