Default Man its fast!

Saw the 710 in race for the first time today and OK, it was being driven by a Factory driver BUT it was definitely smokin' !!!

Needless to say, the driver will remain nameless, the car ... well, you ALL should get one and yes, it did win the race.

Ummm, wouldn't meddling with the throttle curve on the controller (assuming if available) be better?

Julius said that going to 4 cells, he did not notice any performance difference with the servos. Recorded longer runtime even...

Mine is all still box stock, if I slide the engine to the right, the mount rubs the rear pulley.
redsand, you are right. You need to mount the 24T brake pulley and brake pulley adapter more towards the right side (towards the 2 speed gearbox. Then it will not rub.

Yes you can use your th curve on the radio as long as you know how to adjust it most people believe it or not dont.
If I remember right the question that was asked of Julius was would you lose time and performance of going to lower voltage battery and what the effects were and he said that he didnt notice any difference or effects to the servos

Going to lower voltage slows down the servo enough to smooth out the throttle (slowing down the slide)which in my opinon is more efficient. You have to try it to undaerstand what im talking about

A tip (maybe someone knows already but it's) not in the manual or setup-book:

You can use a 2mm hexdriver to adjust the front anti-roll bars!
Just put it in the end of the 2 blades and you can turn like you want.

Thanks for the tip Schrijver99 ! Someone at the track pointed it out to me yesterday. You learn something new everyday.

Some people will discourage you to buy the 710 because it's a Serpent. Not because of the ability and features of the car itself but because it comes from Serpent...

Out of the box, the car does not need any hop ups to make it perform. You only need to get pinions / spurs and tires to dial the car for your track. Spares may be a little more expensive than some cars but it last a little longer from wear and tear. From what I can see, the parts are relatively on the cheaper side than it was before this with the 705.

Well, the G4 kit may be cheap initially but to get it up to the required level, you need to get hop ups which makes the car vey expensive at the end.

Anyway, just a side track... Somebody just picked up my stock car and compared with his titanium this and that other brand car that supposedly makes it even lighter ! Guess what? Mine weight in less than his !

Cool

Well D, it seems that you are in love with the new 710!!
From what I read from your previous posts the car seems to be a sure thing out of the box! Also most of the 710 owns will agree with this statement too, huh?

Hope the other Mfg. owners won't feel left out in the upcoming season!

Sorry about that
I have a mate with a G4 and I saw Josh Cyrul drive one, it's not a bad car if you like buying hop-ups. I just finished my 710 and am driving it today, it looks good straight out of the box.
Don't rush into buying a G4 whithout checking out the snake.
