Originally posted by InitialD In certain ways, I like the 705 receive replacement better. A good balance of accessibility and protection. The Impulse PRO receiver placement was good but it was difficult to access the crystal. Not to mention certain people had problems with glitches due to the placement of the receiver. My opinion? I don't like the placement of the receiver on the 710. Just like I do not like the placement of the receiver on the MTX-3 and V1RR EVO. My 2 cents. |

Re: Re: Rx mount
Originally posted by Thaasman It seems to be that you can only use the protector if you'r crystal and wires are all on the same side.... |
Originally posted by Julius You might try making a slot where the crystal fits through so you can mount it with the wires to the inside of the car? |
The only sullution for me is that i connect the wires of my reciever directly to the reciever( without the connectors)
Any comments on this one? If you understand my explenation... |
Originally posted by tranced now, is there any possibility you would be able to explain how this active toe-in works?  :o The additional rear lower arm link that is nearer to the front of the car is like another arm located slightly higher (or lower or at a neutral position) relative to the other main rear lower arm located more towards the rear side of the car. When the suspension compresses, this other additional rear lower arm link (located higher than the other main rear lower arm) will push the rear hub out in such a way to create less toe in. This results in more steering. The opposite happens when this other additional rear lower arm link is installed lower than the other main rear lower arm when acceleration and braking becomes more stable. |

Originally posted by Thaasman Correct me if i'm wrong but i allways have to put the wires etc at the outside so i have to make 2 slots in the protector... And thats nearly impossible i think:) I think you misunderstood. Don't cut the protector, cut a slot in the lip to which you stick the receiver. Then mount it with the wires on one side of the lip and the crystal in the slot you made. |

Thaasman,
You should try putting some heatshrink wrap or a bicycle intertube to hold the receiver in place on the receiver mount. That will also insolated from fuel and also you wont worried about the crystal touching your throttle servo. |

Re: Rx mount
Originally posted by fmolzer Dang, and I just bought 2 new futaba PCM Rx:s tfor my 710 to be, looks like they will not fit.... First person to come up with a mod that fits the Rx AND offers protection from side impacts, please post here. Anyway, what throttle servo you are using ? I use S9550 in all of my car, should be no problem if I try to mount the rcv in Rene style. |
