I've decided to buy a 710 now, so I wonder if there are any cheap, "must have" options? I've thought about this nice new engine monoblock, any opinions?

Really? Can you post the dimensions? I have the cars but if you've measured it ... :D

From wheel axle centre to wheel axle centre:

710 258mm
705 256mm (maybe 255.5mm)

Well, the FORCE is pretty strong on some days, that's when its OK. On other days, its TOO strong and my car levitates. Its fine when its levitating, the problem comes when it touches earth and again.

I better go see Yoda before I fly back.

Brand new, I can honestly tell you that there is no need for a MUST HAVE option.

If you are an experienced driver, likes quick cornering then the cheapest option is to do the Short Wheel Base mod. Go to 3hobby.com, click on Search and search for "mods". The article title is "710: Mods First".

I've not seen one yet. All I know at the moment is that they're cheaper than NovaMegas (if you can find NovaMegas) and that it is the current European Champion with the 710.

New Mega's

Hi all,

I've not seen one yet. All I know at the moment is that they're cheaper than NovaMegas (if you can find NovaMegas) and that it is the current European Champion with the 710.
I have seen the Serent team testing the new Mega (Picco) engine several times at Heemstede (MACH track).
When they use the unmodified version they don't have as much power as the JP FX-03 optioned, or a RB Rody.

When they do run the modified Mega, they are up there when it comes to top speed and power.

The tricky thing with the Mega engine story is that the stock Mega's will be 30 to 50% cheaper as the old NovaMega.
If you go for a MS edition or more you will have to pay just as much as for the NovaMega's.

I think I will go for the new Mega, this because I can modify the engine myself :)
Julius Kollf his pitman learned me all the tricks to do it the right way.

Like they say, if you give peanuts, you get monkeys. No doubt, less money usually means you're getting something less. So, cheaper engines, less performance.

Its a pity that the MS version will be as expensive as the NovaMegas. Errrmmm ... do you do the mods cheaper then? :sneaky:

I am using the rod linkage in top with the original servo saver; definitely this will not work because it will hit the ball diff (with 2 piece adjuster install)
It might works if you could find the following item,
