Diff clamp-ring 2 parts S710

Anti-roll bar rear set 2.5 +3mm

Engine monoblock M12

Somehow I prefer the look of the one piece engine monoblock from East.

Also, did any of you notice that the newer parts come with bags that are with orange designed tags and not the old purple one?

Don't know TitaniumR. I don't have those engine blocks to check it out. Perhaps somebody else who has it already can check it out.

You're right on the height of the engine mountings though. I know that the stock engine mountings are 14.5 mm. Earlier on when the 710 was launched, some of us already noted that even with the original standard purple engine mountings, you could lower them by 1 mm still to 13.5 mm. But then you would need precission machine to gound them flat and equal.

Also, the would be some clearance problem with regards to the throttle carb linkage due to the engine sitting lower but I think a simple dremel job would do it.

It would be interesting though to check if the engine monoblock from East is sitting 1 mm lower... :sneaky:

BTW, finally tried the car with 15 size max. First run and it's awesome. Will need some fine tuning to improve.

I'll check tonight - if I get the time.

Cheers, Mark.

Thanks D. :)
Eager to hear from Mark on how the new engine mount goes.
:sneaky:

From my first outing, the 710 has very stable rear. Starting off, I end up overshooting the corners and running wide. Tried harder rear spring, tense up stock roll bar, tightened rear diff. Every change I make that car responded! Got sharper turn in till when I increase caster.... turn in was so much that it rolled!:( :D

But the lower bumper got a small crack near the screw, from clipping the kerbs. Upper bumper bend as I expected from knocks.:( Have since replaced these parts with new ones which are now thicker. Hope it holds.....

Is there a website for the East products D?

Funny... These are the things we do too on the 710.

Another mod. Try shorter wheelbase.;) Like 1 or 2 mm shorter.

RC-Mushroom or one Australian website that I recalled someone mentioned...

Yeah, Ive seen them on online stores, but there isnt much detailed information or quality pics.

As I havent heard of the brand before I'm a bit weary.

I believe East is from Japan. Pretty safe to say that the Japanese RC hop up products are pretty good.

Im using the east adjustable rear roll bar and it works very well and seems to be well constructed:D

How does it compare to the stock bar?

At its softest setting, is it softer than the stock bar?
How does it feel on the track?

I agree with you there ... the orange is a little off but hey, its under the engine and the fins are better designed.

D, use the RING! You're slow. Wanna swap nicks? :sneaky:

Note also that the package is not only orange but there is a set from Mushroom which gives the steering linkage complete with the 2-part diff clamp set. :D

I haven't insatlled mine yet but note that even with the current 2-piece mounts, the bottom of the slide barrel carb is almost touching (some makes are touching) the top deck.

Lower engine mounts are good but you'll need to mod the top deck AND be aware that now with your flywheel nearly lower than the bottom of the chassis, it may just stall the engine if you go off track. The other thing is when your pitman refuels you by picking your car and placing it somewhere accidentally touching the flywheel.

Sparksy, its downunder!

Well, its not the EAST official website but this shop is great and has the largest collection plus its near you. I've ordered stuff from them and the follow up is great. Don't order the spur-pinion set though.

Here is the site: http://racefactoryrcp.com/
