One thing to remember when talking about the spilt sizes (front-rear) is that this also dictates the amount of overdrive. For example, if you look at the overdrive table, you'll see with tyres of equal front-rear diameter, you'll get an approximate 1.02% front drive advantage - good for wet or slippy conditions.
If the tyres are mounted so that the front is 1mm smaller than the rear, then the split is all but a perfect 1:1 split. This provides the highest top speed, but probably not quite the same performace out of the corners as the 1.02% front drive advantage.

I use 2.5mm split so still 1:1 in ratio. My only reason to use 46T is to get the closest possible tire wear for the entire 45mins final (consistent performance). With 45T, I always end up with much smaller rear (1mm split in the beggining) like 2mm smaller as far as I could remember.

i think it has been asked, but, does anyone make good universals for the 710?

is there a transponder mount for the 710?

pd, there's only holes made for a Personal Transponder, on the upper plate of the bumper.

For normal ones I just ream a hole on the front right of the windshield.

Not at the moment ... in my opinion. I've seen and heard that the ones made by 3-Racing does not last but I've not tried it.

A few folks mentioned that Michael Salven used some combination of the Hudy spring steel stuff from an XRay car. Don't know how that works but you can see it in the WinterNats video.

Noticed the engine sits rather high on the std purple two piece engine blks. Does these one piece one lower it? I think the engine can be lowered another 1 or so mm without the flywheel coming thru the chassis slot. Thanks.

BTW, finally tried the car with 15 size max. First run and it's awesome. Will need some fine tuning to improve. :nod: :nod:
