The drivetrain is very good, Rick's car had the smoothest drivetrain I've ever seen, even better then mine. :D
Clutch was also very good.

What setup were they running? It seemed that pietsch had no understeer problems. I am guessing Robert did use different springs, they might not have had the magic xray silver spring... ;)

Those were half x-ray springs;). So you guys have half a set of springs rite...

Also I don't see a short lower bumper section yet, all the belts seem the same as the 4, same brake disk/pad as the 8th scale awesome, general reduction of parts seems very good, as per the use of same part numbers everywhere, like all four shocks and CV shafts epic.

Last observation is I just don't see a 5th body mount, which is weird when Robert used one at the EC, that looked tacked on, but no effort to revise and add one in the final spec?.

But hey, I'm borderline tweaking out waiting now, result of selling off most my nitro gear ages ago, stead fast decision not to buy anything till I got the 5, meaning I have done little nitro at all really overall...

thats is correct as you can see on the exploded view, as for the 5th body, just use 1 front bumper post with a long 3mm set screw instead the 3mm flat head screw, i had the same body post used on the mtx4

A couple of other interesting things to come out of the Pietsch's setup:

-300,000wt front diff! who said understeer problems
-a massive 120g of weight added to the chassis

That isn't 120grams , that is 80 grams. The other number is the gram position number which is 40mm. Last I checked 40mm didn't weigh anything ;)

The other drivers had understeer / snap oversteer problems.. I had that when i tried to run the rear roll centers to high(high rear roll center)

Stock kit is 200k, which is already quite thick, actually I thought that was as thick as the mugen oils go.

Anyone else see something weird about the setup sheets and the rollouts listed?.

Price jump from Amain is not that big a surprise, I heard the first batch was going to be a shade cheaper than the usual retail price, that and with the US dollar still not that strong, the US retailers were always going to struggle to keep the prices down on something coming out right now...

Also if you look at one of the big Japan sites they have actually stopped taking pre-orders now, so likely if you have not ordered by two days ago, you have likely missed out on the first batch...

It's all size and tooth dependent. Example the mtx4 diff with 50k felt like a xray diff with about 80k, spec r diff 3000 is like 5000 with cap. So the diffs being smaller I am not surprised, and he may like the feel of a spool but needed a bit more entry steering... That also could mean they found that the car works well at turnin so they went up on diff oils. I run 100-500k in my NT1 front diff, average is 150-200k. cap kit oil is 150/ 70. But keep in mind they also have 600 shock oil which is pretty thick too. It's simply a starting place :).
