Soon? Soon is never soon enough for new cars!

We can possibly see one sooner then others, possibly.
Port jervis for fathers day?
Wish I was there for the manufacturer race, looked like a lot of fun.

Hey joe, I might do Sunday if I can get everything squared away on Saturday.

Bert, these are the times that I wish I had a mini cnc machine.

Here it ishttp://www.redrc.net/2014/06/mugen-m...ew/#more-82274

I wonder if they will do an upgrade kit?
It would be a nice idea to support the customers still persisting with the 5.
Looks like some good changes..
Let's see how it goes..

After a season of running I inspect all aluminum parts and change all plastics, but sometimes the aluminum parts loose there strength without any visible signs. With that being said , even if there is an upgrade kit I would just go for a new kit.

From what I understand, almost everyone from the land down under has one. Hopefully one of these guys from Australia will chime in and help you out.

I got a set of Traxxas turnbuckles to brace the side of my car. I can fit one end of the turnbuckle on the carry handle screw but I can't get the other end on the bearing cap screw on the rear bulk head (SiG 3x8 in the diagram attached below).

The bearing cap screen is too close to the brake cam housing and there is no room to fit the turnbuckle. The turnbuckle ball is flush against the brake cam housing and the turnbuckle end cannot be snapped onto the ball.

How are you guys mounting the rear end of the turnbuckle brace?

Ross try using aluminum shims to raise the height of the ball . But you need something with the outside diameter like an xray Shim , then a longer screw.

Did you go to the manufacturers challenge ?

rossb 06-15-2014 07:57 AM

The turnbuckle would need to be high enough to clear the brake housing. That would be awkward. I've yet to run the car, am I going to strip spurs without it? I'm wondering if this mod is even necessary.

I did not go to the manufacturers challenge. I only went to Jervis once this year for opening day and I ran 1/8th only.
