Once the MRX5 is all finished, in production and on the hobby shop sheves, they will do a MTX5.
Expect Robert Pietsch to design it like he did with the MRX5. |

I guess there will be no new Mugen 200mm touring car until after the Worlds. Still can't find anything on or about it.:(

I don't think they will begin work on the sedan until the MRX5 is totally completed and in production. I know it sucks:(:(:(:(
Race you later... |
JLock I guess there will be no new Mugen 200mm touring car until after the Worlds. |
I know that Pietsch has a new sedan completely designed, but Mugen is currently focused on off road.
I hope they won't realize, once the off road hype is slowing down, that all their loyal on road racers have been pi§§ed off and switched to other brands. We have so many Serpents running here like never before..... I switched after 12 years of hard core Mugen racing and I won't go back. |

I feel you. I just recently bought an Xray NT1R to try out and run as a possible replacement for my MTX-4. I have been patiently waiting on the MTX-5 and hope that it fix some of the issues that plagued the MTX-4/4R. I have been running Mugen for 10 years but, like you, I feel that a change is needed since Mugen is dropping the ball on its loyal, non-sponsored followers.
I'm still not convinced that Mugen will bow out of the 1/10 scale TC car market with all the new players on the market(ie Capricorn,Shepherd and the new HK; there is not much marketshare left to grab. Other than an updated drive train the MTX4r does not need much improvements. I think it has the largest sweet spot as far as set-up goes. I think the reason behind the long delay was that the car is still doing well in the Asian markets. When Keisuke Fukada drives a Mtx4r with a Serpent transmission that tells me something needs be changed or updated!!! Pass you soon... |

Take a look at the mugen seiki site and look at the setting sheets for Keisuke Fukada. He used a serpent clutch(not sure if he used the whole tranny). Some of the european drivers have adapted the 733 tranny to a mtx4r. they are some other gentlemen on the boards that can give you more info.
