when I run rubber tires,I run HPI 26 mm tires...I don't think anyone makes 30mm rubber tires anymore(though I think HPI used to)...is that what you wanted to know?..

ok what tire and insert do you suggest? i am going to want some decent traction, nice wear life, and i will just be driving around my house and some big parking lots. and racing against my self on a course i will make. i have a ntc3 rtr too.

no,super tires won't fit..and would ruin the handling if they did...

tire choice is a tough one.....when I race in our cleaned off parking lot,I use HPI slicks(27 and 33 r) with red inserts...but you might want a treaded tire if its not blown off....and something that lasts a long time...alot of people like the HPI x radials..

what you have to remember is that the harder the tire(and longer wear comes from that),the less traction you get..everything in the handling dept is a trade off...

see what your buddies are running,or what your LHS likes..

MY LHS IS STUPID they dont even have a track, and dont carry hardly any parts that could fit my car. i am in germany and they dont even cary any cool stuff, they only carry tamiya stuff and germany junk. so i think i will go with 26mm. and red insert? i only race on a course i make with DIXIe cups. just for fun. but i want nice grip. so i can power out of the corners and not have to worry about my back end coming loose because of crappy traction. What method do you use for choosing inserts.

what tires did you have before..and how did they handle.thats always a good indication of what you need...
'
I choose tire compound by the temp of the track surface..and tire insert softness by how smooth the trtack surface is(sort of loke adjusting air pressure in the tire)....

go to www.hpiracing.com read up on tire selection..its the link on the left..

this might work

http://www.hpiracing.com/tires/index.htm

I have to get to work..I'll chat with you later..

I have two ideas for you on the rubber tire issue.
Venom Racing has released the "VEN-1165" Magnetics Hyper Grip 26mm threaded rubber that requires no insert. My rep. sent me a sample, but only one pair. so I have not been able to see how they work.
HPI has quite a few different tires to try.

at a track where I race, one of the guys uses HPI X pattern Radial Belt tires with the Yellow Soft compound. he is running an ntc3 rtr. it seems to grip the track pretty well. in fact i ordered some and they should be here today.

Anybody in this forum from Raleigh NC? I am going to be in Raleigh at the end of May for my nephews graduation and I am thinking of bringing my NTC3 with me. If someone is let me know what tracks are available in that area.

Anyone know if the ride height measurement with the Integy Aluminum set-up system is based on 62mm?

Spring # is AE 6587
Modellor, I think you was right. When I put tires on it, it was a tad low.
Thanks
