Also swap out the fuel tank, and drill a hole and use the second chamber of the pipe for pressure. Hold on to that NTC3 fuse, it will walk all over the belt cars.

I agree......there have been THOUSANDS of Tc3's sold...the original gas tank(Chicken hopper design) could have been a problem with tuning(same as it couyld have been on the GT for the past 10 years)....and to be honest, there were more people who NEVER had a problem with that tank on the tc3,than did...
the new top feed tank solves the EASE of tuning issue....
Maybe the pipe that comes with the rear exhaust makes it a little harder to tune, but I personally don't see a problem with teh car at all....
BTW<if the car is thermally challenged, how does putting an exhaust pipe half of an inch from the air cleaner help?....
but I'll bet there are more people who cant tune a NOVA style engine than there are problems with teh car..

front one way
What’s a good set-up on the rear diff when running a front one way? Should it be set full tight or allowed to slip?
Thanks for the help!

Hey guys,
I am brand spanking new to r/c and i ordered a NTC 3 RTR and i am wondering what should i get as either extra parts or hop ups, stuff like that???
This is what i have.
(on the way)
NTC 3 RTR
Transmitter case
3 OS #A3 glow plugs
Glow wrench
DuraTrax Standard Screwdriver Set w/Pouch
After run engine oil
Glow starter
(i have already)
500cc fuel bottle
250cc fuel bottle
Nitro fuel
So i should be set when my car and stuff gets here to start bashing.
I just bought a fuel filter today, and i bought a BMW 328 Ci body.
Is there anything that you would recommend getting?? Anything you think of let me know. i would be greatful.
Thanks for your help,
David

Hey all you guys looking for a better cooling head! Check this out Crazy Nut Racing these heads are awesome and the one on my car is lighter than my stock RB head. I ran it yesterday and wow does it cool alot better than the stock head. It's actually amazing.
He is also working on some diff cases for me. These would be actual machined and anodized diff cases not like the cast one's the RD Logics has. (not to put them down I'm sure they are great, just stating a difference) Send him an email and ask him about the diff cases. He's a great guy. And check out the heads, he does awesome work.

sounds more like a tuning issue to me. when it is sluggish off the line it sound like your top and bottom are out of balance... try richening the top and leaning the bottom. nova/rb 12's should idle for 25-30s before they load up and die. how much fuel have you run through the engine? these engines are so tight they need to be run for a gallon before they really rip and are easy to tune. check also for air leaks; seal the backplate and where the carb seats with high temp RTV sealant. make sure your fuel system holds pressure.
