Go for extreme, my shimo chasis is on its way from Japan . We will see than how much weight reduction that expensive toy will give me.!!

Much annoying for me to watch others glued some coins on their kit because of underweight!! Is't D??? :
will try to reduce weight then, might have to sacrifice some of those 3 racing aluminum components that might be heavy and change it to plastic instead. my kit is almost fully hopped up by 3 racing aluminum parts except for the chassis which is still the original one (not the shimo one)

I have reduced mine to 1635g recently. However, I noticed reducing "rotational mass" is more beneficial in terms of performance. Try 1) Kfactory lightweight pinions 2)Five Star aluminium center shaft and 2 speed holder 3) kyosho lightened clutch bell. To reduce the weight dramatically, try using AAA batteries, save about 30+ grams. RR conversion kit another 18grams.

Rgds
1635g wow will try to get to that number so have to let go some of the 3racing aluminum components to reduce weight, thanks dude

If you want to make the car race ready at around 1725 grams, the car should weight about 1600 grams without shell, without fuel and without PT.

So you did all those things to save 145 grams?
yes lord D, the weight that i mentioned is already race ready with fuel and PT already installed just wondering cause my 710 scaled at 1650g with everything on it plus some of the aluminum parts that serpent has to offer

All up weight including Touring shell, PT, and Rubber tyres with moulded inserts - 1853g, and yet I still out drag most from tight corners.
Someone somewhere mentioned about a possible release of Titanium Diff rings, if this comes true then that will be a huge weight saving.

Titanium diff rings? Wouldn't it be bad in terms of wear?

Hi Nimo,

Joehwee wrote some weight measures on page 22. Considering that a steel ring gear is 15 grams you could save about 7 grams each.

Regards
Robert

I forgot: Nimo, is the weight (1853 gr) with or without fuel? As mentioned on the last page mine is 1815 gr complete but without fuel (with rubber tires etc).

If it is without fuel, do you have a lot of aluminium-parts on it? Are you still using the ti-pivots?

Hey NiMo in the RR conversion set up sheet do they have you use a specific set of springs for that particular set up or do you use the stock to start off?

I haven't actually changed my settings from what was used on the R, the weather is too cold and damp for any serious testing this time of year.
I tried the lowest front hole but didn't like it so went back to one up, which happens to be the same as the lowest on the R front shock tower.
