You guys
I drove my car again today. Man that superglue is holding the rear shock mount so well. It even jumped a crack and was like 1 1/2 inches in the air and still didn't break. It still fun and i can control this thing so well even though its only running rear wheel drive. I still think i need to stiffen up the rear gear diff a little bit. Wow this this is pretty damn fast though. I was running the motor at about 230 degree's and i started to learn her out a little. Its getting faster and faster every time Thanks for all your guys help.

KMAC,
i still can't tell if my 2 speed is shifting into second. I did what you told me and held the car in the air and reved it but didn't feel anything. I think i have it to tight still.

This is so fricken cool. I'm painting a new race body now. I'm getting it all liquid masked up right now. I'm going to run the vaxhaul vectra.

I have had no problems with the steering what so ever. I have this thing running so strait when i do not have my hand on the steeringwheel. I just lined it up by sight basically and i also used the integy setup station to get everything close to even. I may need to drop it down a millimeter, droop wise. Other than that, this car is fricken sweet!!!

One more question, how much longer will my car run with the bigger gas tank? Thanks,
Mike

you shouldnt lean your motor no more. if you running at 230 you already running lil hot. optimal operation temperature for these motors is 200-225 degrees ferenheit. if you get abouve 250 you takin chances.

also dont forget while you running that you got low end needle and idle. i wouldnt suggest messing with midrange needle.

I've never touched the needle everyone says not to. I have 4 adjustsments on my carb. High, low, something else, and idle. I have never touched idle or the other one i think its the main needle or something.

Ive read that people run their rossi motors near 260 to 280 with no problems. Next time i run it i will make sure i keep the temps down a little more. I'm not to worried. I have a nova mega 5 port turbo engine thats a back up if i mess this one up

Here this is from this website
http://wildhobbies.com/news/default....&articleid=959

Is It Set Right?
The best way to tell if the motor is tuned properly is by testing the temperature of the motor. Each motor is a little different so consult the motor's owner's manual or website to find out what the optimum temperature of the motor is. This is usually between 230 - 260 degrees. There are some motors that run under that range and even some that prefer hotter temperatures, so again, check with the motor manufacturer.

ya each motor is different, i have few guys that run nocamegas on my local track and sometimes temps are 280-300 and the motors are fine.
if you run it cooler you are prolonging the life of the motor. and you are right novamegas do run lil hotter. but i still use caution on mine

I ran the car around going in circles cutting back and forth sometimes WOT sometimes not for about 3 min then i did a WOT shot right to me and then when it got to me i took the temp with my temp gun and it was like 230.8 or something so i think its pretty good. It still isn't broken in all the way but i have ran total about 8 or 9 tanks through it and they all have been very rich (spitting excess fuel out the pipe) you could see the fuel on the cement. I think i'm doing pretty good since this is my first car and considering i bought it already put together and i didn't know if the other person messed with the carb settings or not. Its all a big learning process.

What would i need to do to stop my car from spinning out. I think it has alot to do with it only being 2 wheel drive right now and the fact i'm running rubber tires. What chassis adjustments do you usually make? Is there a website i can check out on tuning the suspension?

THanks,
Mike

For the shocks I would just keep the stock silvers, and then try a softer rate since you'r running rubbers
