No Idiot, your f.cking engine mounts do not fit the Nova engines, simple as that.

But how could a world reknown top engineer with the most brilliant ideas ever, make a simple mistake like that.

So, you XRay deciples rather Dremel away on your engines....

To be fair the NT1's engine mounts fit current and 2 generations previous Nova blocks at its release. I haven't seen a 353 but I know the plus, LS & LL are fit fine.

Hey! Its an opportunity, form a club, do one up, call it KB-Raceway!

We just need the permanent track. We have about 30-40 guys show up for extremely well-organized races twice a month. Our championship this year had 60 entries. On-road Nitro racing is alive and well here in Hawaii. :D

You also have idiots who for some reason can't accept that another manufacturer started producing 1/10 nitro car. And the fact that it actually performs really well is hard to swallow for some...

very consistence reading so when you make any changes, you have a standard value all time.

I suggest stay with 0.7 clutch gap. I used serpent hard long spring http://www.serpent.com/product/909520
the spring tension depends on track condition. I start with 1.5mm

I did not use any shim between the engine and the cone.

hope this help

I agree....unfortunately he was unable to forecast that Novarossi would make a change to their mount...

I'm under the impression this isn't normal. How much did you guys have to adjust the clutch from the original settings? Should I change something? would changing the clutch gap help?

One thing that struck me as odd was that I didn't have to use a single shim to achieve the proper flywheel gap, clutch gap, and clutch bell end play as according to the instruction manual. The motor was dead on to the measurments from the book without any shimming.

Try this: Take the engine out of the car and point the engine with the gears pointing straight up at the ceiling and spin the clutch bell. Does it spin for about 5 seconds or is it dragging on the clutch shoe? Also try the same with the gears pointing straight to the floor.

Also, how much gap is there between the flywheel and the crankcase? If the collect is significantly protruding out the back of the flywheel on the crankcase side, it may have taken up all the gap that is usually shimmed.

RMD, I uploaded a DVD version to Veoh.com but it didn't turn out so good

http://www.veoh.com/videos/v507784APKJwqsR

Only the slow moving or relatively stationary scenes looks good.

rmdhawaii 05-18-2007 05:13 PM

DVD quality sounds nice. I will check it out when I get home. :D

FYI for everyone else: The Flash Player version is a lower quality. You get the high quality version when you download the file.

You're right! Does the version you created on your computer look better than the one that gets downloaded or does it look the same? Is your original also 160MB? How are you encoding it? What is the resolution?

The one which I uploaded in Veoh.com is DVD quality and yes, for 3 mins of video its 165 MBytes. PAL DVD is encoded into MPEG right? Not sure on resolution ... 640x480 I think because I can watch it on my widescreen LVD TV and the quality is as good as any commercial DVD I watch.

I have not downloaded it from Veoh but let me try and see what they did compared to the original.
